It's official....

....I'm the crazy one.

I took Gabriel to his therapy appointment as part of the solution to dealing with his ADHD. Most of the conversation was about me. I was told my stress levels are to high. (DUH!) I have a control problem, as in, I don't feel like I have control over anything (hence the stress), which cause my OCD tendencies. How about that. She suggested a therapist for me so I can get meds to help with my stress. Since my kids attitudes reflect my attitude, it is best to work on me first. That was exactly how she put it.

So, I'm "on call" to go in if they have a cancellation for the next couple of weeks, and we start family sessions next month. I have to call the other....well lets just call it what it is......shrink to get my appointment so I can be medicated.

So there you have it. As my husband would say I am a nut job! Haha!! As if we didn't know that already!! At least I'm never boring!!!

Catching you up on some randomness....

We survived the holidays!!

We got to go home for Thanksgiving. It was really great being around the family. The drive was loooong but we got to stay a whole week so we had a good break in between trips.

Christmas was really great!! I was worried about giving the kids a good Christmas, but we got a very wonderful gift from a VERY good friend of ours and the blessing was just what we needed!! We had friends over for dinner and the food was PERFECT if I do say so myself! ;)
New Years was just another day. Justin was in bed early, Faith crashed so Gabe, Ashley and I was up to watch the ball drop.

We may finally have a handle on Gabriel's behavior. He has been diagnosed as ADHD. We tried addoral (i know that's not how you spell it) but it made him really moody and depressed. So, the doc put him on Concerta. So far so good. He is still moody when he gets home from school, but i think it's just because he's tired. He will start counseling as soon as I remember to call and make the appointment.

Justin will be getting out of the military. Depends on how long it takes the paper work to go through, but we could be going home by March. We'll see. There is still a possibility that the Navy will keep him so now we just hurry up and wait.

I'll keep you posted.....
